Magnuseen to kick off Sakhir test

Kevin Magnussen has revealed he will be driving the MP4-29 on the opening two days in Bahrain. Swapping to 1.6-litre V6 engines for this year's Championship, the teams were keen to avoid the cool temperatures in Europe. The FIA agreed and after one outing in Spain Formula One is making its way to the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain. With the air temperature set to reach a high of 21'C after the four days, Magnussen will be in action on days one and two before handing over to Jenson Button. Last time out in Jerez, Magnussen set the week's fastest lap time while Button was fourth quickest. McLaren finished third on the log for most laps completed.
