'Merc teams against double-points expansion'

Bernie Ecclestone's hope to implement double points for the final three races of the season won't get the backing of the Mercedes-powered teams, according to a report. The FIA's decision to award double points to both the drivers and teams at this year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has come in for plenty of criticism from fans, drivers and other F1 role players. There has also been a lot of finger pointing as to the reason for the move and whose idea it was with Ecclestone saying Sebastian Vettel's dominance forced them to rethink the rules and adding it was done to help Ferrari.
