Magnussen tops day three as Red Bull suffers

Kevin Magnussen has emerged quickest on the third day of testing at Jerez as Red Bull's problems deepened. Although Jenson Button drove the McLaren in the morning having missed out on Tuesday's running, Magnussen took over in the afternoon and was immediately quick. A run in the final hour of the day saw him set a time of 1:23.276 to end the day 0.4s clear of the field and 1.7s faster than his new team-mate. Felipe Massa was second behind Magnussen on his first day in the Williams as Mercedes-powered cars filled the first four places on the timing screens.
