Gutierrez: 'It was important to get some running today'
Despite completing just seven laps on the first day of winter testing, Esteban Gutierrez says it was important for the team to get some running completed.
It was a quiet opening test day for all teams, with mechanical gremlins causing many to lose track time. Raikkonen ended the day on the top of the timesheets, but he also completed the most laps.
Gutierrez feels it was a 'big achievement' for Sauber to get its C33 on track, adding: 'I am proud that I was the first one to drive it. Especially because of all the rule changes, it is very complex but the team has done a good job.
