Lotus shrug off front wing controversy confident the E22 is legal 28 January, 2014 Front aend area of the Lotus E22 Lotus F1 team have shrugged off controversy surrounding the eye-catching split nose on their 2014 car, and despite not being present at Jerez for the first test of the season the Enstone outfit are the big talking point in the paddock.
'We have passed all the necessary crash tests and are very confident our design complies with all the FIA legal requirements,' technical director Nick Chester told the team website on Tuesday.
