Wet running planned for Jerez

Pirelli have confirmed the Jerez circuit will be artificially watered on Friday in order to allow for wet running. This week the teams will take to the Spanish circuit for the first of the three pre-season tests. The four days of action kick off on Tuesday in what is expected to be chilly conditions. And although there is a possibility of rain during the week, should it not come before Friday the track will be artificially watered on the final day. "The new regulations stipulate that one of the pre-season test days will be dedicated to wet weather testing of our new Cinturato intermediate and wet tyres," said Pirelli motorsport director Paul Hembery.
