New Mercedes runs in shakedown
The first 2014 Formula 1 cars and their all-new turbo engines have taken to the track after both Mercedes and Renault-powered Toro Rosso completed permitted promotional filming runs.Although official group testing does not begin until Tuesday (January 28) at Jerez in southern Spain, F1's Sporting Regulations do allow teams the chance to complete two promotional events during the course of the year. The tests may not exceed 100km in length and only demonstration Pirelli tyres can be used.
