FIA confirms cost cap among rule tweaks
The FIA has raised the minimum weight for the 2014 season, among a number of amendments announced following a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in Geneva.
'The weight of the car, without fuel, must not be less than 691kg at all times during the Event', read an FIA statement.
'The weight limit has increased by 1kg to take into account the difference in weight between the tyres in 2013 and 2014.'
The statement also confirmed that at a meeting of F1's strategy group on Wednesday, FIA president Jean Todt, Bernie Ecclestone and representatives from Formula 1 teams agreed unanimously to a cost control regulations.
