Caterham confirms Marcus Ericsson for 2014
GP2 Media Service
Caterham has confirmed that Marcus Ericsson will make his Formula 1 debut for the team in 2014.
Ericsson won three races across a four year period in GP2 and finished a best of sixth in the championship in 2013.
Ericsson will become the first Swedish driver to race in Formula 1 since Stefan Johansson in 1991.
Ericsson will race alongside Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi.
Marcus Ericsson's path to Formula 1
23-year-old Ericsson will make his debut in Formula 1 this season after a moderately successful junior career.
Ericsson claimed titles in Formula BMW and Japanese Formula Three before stepping up to GP2 for 2010.
