Caterham confirms Marcus Ericsson for 2014

GP2 Media Service Caterham has confirmed that Marcus Ericsson will make his Formula 1 debut for the team in 2014. Ericsson won three races across a four year period in GP2 and finished a best of sixth in the championship in 2013. Ericsson will become the first Swedish driver to race in Formula 1 since Stefan Johansson in 1991. Ericsson will race alongside Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi. Marcus Ericsson's path to Formula 1 23-year-old Ericsson will make his debut in Formula 1 this season after a moderately successful junior career. Ericsson claimed titles in Formula BMW and Japanese Formula Three before stepping up to GP2 for 2010. He raced for Super Nova in his rookie season and claimed a...
