McLaren to miss Jerez test?

McLaren has refused to confirm whether or not the team will be ready for the opening pre-season test at Jerez later this month.There are a number of reports that the squad's 2014 F1 car, the MP4-29, has failed certain mandatory crash tests, with Autosport claiming the Woking-based outfit is now in a 'race against time' to get its new car ready.When asked about the situation by Crash.net, and if the rumours are correct, a McLaren spokesperson merely said: “At this time of the year it's normal for all teams to be pushing everything to the limit in an effort to extract the most performance, and crash tests are no different.“McLaren will pass all the tests prior to track running.”The...
