Dennis appointed CEO of McLaren Group

Former McLaren Formula 1 team principal Ron Dennis has been appointed CEO of McLaren Group with immediate effect. Dennis will return to the position he held between 1982 and 2012 and also retains his role as chairman of McLaren Group. Dennis was McLaren's team principal in Formula 1 between 1982 and 2009, before handing over the role to Martin Whitmarsh. "My fellow shareholders have mandated me to write an exciting new chapter in the story of McLaren, beginning by improving our on-track and off-track performance," he said.
