VIDEO: Kevin Magnussen gears up for F1 debut
Kevin Magnussen got the sort of break young F1 aspirants can only dream of when McLaren promoted him from its development squad to a full grand prix seat for 2014.The move was a little unexpected - not least by previous incumbent Sergio Perez - but Magnussen is determined to make more of his McLaren opportunity than father Jan, who completed just one race with the Woking team in the 1990s.Paired with veteran Jenson Button, the Dane has an experienced head to learn from, but is quick to play down suggestions that, as reigning World Series by Renault champion, he may be able to follow in the footsteps of McLaren's last F1 rookie, a British youngster by the name of Lewis Hamilton.......
