Lotus to miss first Pre-Season test

January 6th, 2013 (F1pplus/R. Baillie).- Lotus will not take part in the first pre-season test in Jerez, Spain at the end of January to continue working on the E22. “We’re going to keep our car under wraps a little longer than some other teams. We’ve decided that attending the Jerez test isn’t ideal for our build and development programme.” Lotus F1 technical director Nick Chester said in a press release. “We are likely to unveil the car before attending the Bahrain tests, and in Bahrain we should really be able to put the car through its paces in representative conditions.” Missing the four-day event in Spain means Lotus will only have eight days of testing prior to the...
