Magnussen eager to emulate Hamilton
Kevin Magnussen is looking follow in the footsteps of Lewis Hamilton, confident McLaren know how to get the best out of a rookie.
This season the Danish driver will take to the grid for McLaren having signed a long-term deal with the Woking team.
Magnussen's arrival marks the first time since Hamilton in 2007 that McLaren have entrusted a rookie driver with the car.
Hamilton proved that trust well-placed as he raced to second in the Championship and Magnussen is hoping to emulate the Brit's achievements.
"He [Hamilton] had great success at McLaren arriving there as a rookie and it is definitely possible to do," said Magnussen in an interview with Autosport.
