Kobayashi in the frame for Caterham seat

Kamui Kobayashi may be about to make a comeback in 2014 following news that Caterham are considering the Japanese driver, according to journalist Adam Cooper. The 27-year-old was dumped by Sauber at the end of the 2012 season and has been without a seat since. He attempted to raise funds in order to tempt a team in need of money to employ him, but that never worked out last year. However with £6.6 million ($11m, €8m) raised from fans and businesses, added to the fact he is highly regarded in the paddock, Kobayashi is being considered for the second Caterham seat alongside Marcus Ericsson.
