Ferrari launches 2014 turbo engine

– Ferrari officially presented its 2014 engine to the public at its Maranello headquarters on Thursday afternoon. Next season, the sport enters a new era with the introduction of turbocharged 1.6-litre V6 powerplants, after the previous V8 units – in use for eight seasons – ended their tenure at this year's Brazilian Grand Prix. The Italian brand is the last of Formula 1's current engine makers to unveil the fundamentals of its next generation powerplant, with Renault and Mercedes publishing rendered images and test bed recordings in the summer.
