Mercedes picks at Red Bull tech strength

Mercedes has become the latest F1 outfit to acquire members of the world champion Red Bull Racing technical strength as it looks to bolster its opposition to the Milton Keynes squad in 2014.Having finished as runner-up to RBR in this year's constructors' championship, the Brackley operation will go into battle in 2014 with two members of Adrian Newey's backroom staff wearing silver rather than navy blue, as the BBC reports that Mark Ellis and Giles Wood will swap sides over the winter.Ellis had held the role of chief engineer for vehicle dynamics at Red Bull since 2008, while Wood held a similar position in charge of simulation and analysis.
