Perez supports new double points rule

Sergio Perez has showed his support to the heavily criticised new FIA rule which will see double points awarded at the Formula 1 season finale. The Mexican shared his views on the new regulation change after being announced as a Force India driver for the 2014 season, signing a 'multi-year' deal. Four-time champion Sebastian Vettel called the new rule 'absurd' and his new team-mate for next season Daniel Ricciardo branded it 'bizarre'. Reaction from the fans has been largely negative too, with many labelling it a 'gimmick'. 'I’m in favour, I think it will make things really exciting,' Perez told Sky Sports News.
