Sauber chassis passes crash tests

Sauber's 2014 chassis has received the green light from the FIA after passing all the mandatory crash tests. The Hinwil-based squad, who are yet to confirm their driver line-up for the new season, confirmed that their 2014 challenger has come through the homologation stage. "The chassis of the C33 has passed all static and dynamic tests of the FIA and is officially homologated," the team said in a statement. "The rear crash test, which is not part of the chassis homologation, will take place separately at a later date, as usual." Like the rest of the teams on the Formula One grid, Sauber are yet to announce when they will launch their new model and it remains to be seen...
