New F1 pole position trophy

The FIA have announced a new qualifying trophy will be introduced in 2014 and awarded to the driver that takes the most pole positions throughout the season.Sebastian Vettel would have eased to the prize in 2013 with nine pole positions to the five of Lewis Hamilton, but should two drivers find themselves tied next year, then the number of second places and so forth will be taken into account to find a winner. The Article 6.7 of the updated 2014 F1 Sporting Regulations reads: "A trophy will be awarded to the driver who sets the most pole positions during the championship season (see Article 36.2). In the event of a tie the holder of the greatest number of second places will be taken...
