Sauber confirm C33 has passed 2014 crash tests

Sauber have confirmed that their 2014 chassis has passed all mandatory FIA crash tests ahead of the new season. Teams cannot test on-track until the chassis has been homologated therefore, especially this coming season with vast regulation changes, it's important they pass the tests earlier than usual with pre-season testing set to start in January. "The chassis of the C33 has passed all static and dynamic tests of the FIA and is officially homologated," read a statement. "The rear crash test, which is not part of the chassis homologation, will take place separately at a later date, as usual."
