Magnussen boosted by regulation advantage

Sutton Images Enlarge Kevin Magnussen believes the new regulations in 2014 will help negate his lack of Formula One experience. While comparisons are being made between Magnussen and Lewis Hamilton's debut season for McLaren, Hamilton had the benefit of unlimited testing before his first year. Magnussen, by contrast, will only have simulator time and three pre-season tests - equating to a maximum of six days of track time - ahead of his first race. However, with the new engine regulations which come in to effect next season, Magnussen believes the majority of drivers will face a steep learning curve in pre-season.
