Robert Kubica named FIA's Personality of the Year

Paris:  Robert Kubica, the former Formula One driver seriously injured in a 2011 crash, has been named Personality of the Year in a vote by motorsport's governing body the FIA.The 29-year-old is embarking on a new career in rallying after his F1 hopes crumbled when he suffered life-threatening injuries in an accident in the Ronde di Andora Rally three years ago.The Polish driver's right-hand was partially severed in the crash in northern Italy when he hit a safety barrier and had to be cut free from his car. He also suffered serious injuries to his shoulder and leg.Kubica, who won the 2008 Canadian F1 Grand Prix for Renault, is in line for a drive with Citroen or Ford in next year's...
