Magnussen 'encouraged' by Hamilton's rookie success

McLaren's 2014 rookie Kevin Magnussen says he is 'encouraged' by Lewis Hamilton's first year success in 2007 and admits that it doesn't raise the pressure for him. The Danish driver won the Formula Renault 3.5 series earlier in the year and has a strong record in junior series. He will make his F1 debut at the Australian Grand Prix next March after replacing Sergio Perez at the Woking-based outfit. 'The fact that Lewis did exactly what I’m doing now is a positive for me,' he said. 'It shows that the team has been there before, and has already prepared a rookie for his grand prix debut.
