Lotus confirm Maldonado for 2014
The Lotus F1 Team has confirmed that Pastor Maldonado will join the team and partner Romain Grosjean for 2014.
The Venezuelan driver had already announced his departure from the Williams F1 Team, who he made his debut for in 2010, after three years. He scored the only Formula 1 victory of his career with the Grove-based squad at last year's Spanish Grand Prix.
He said on the announcement: 'It is a fantastic opportunity for me to join Lotus F1 Team for 2014. It’s no secret that I have wanted a change of scene to help push on with my Formula 1 career and Lotus F1 Team offered the very best opportunity for me to be competitive next season.
