Brawn departure imminent

Mercedes are expected to announce this week that Ross Brawn will leave the team at the end of the year. Brawn's future at Mercedes has been clouded in speculation for months with reports first linking him to a move to Honda. More recently, rumours emerged suggesting that the Englishman could be set for a return to Ferrari after he held private talks with the Scuderia's current team boss Stefano Domenicali in the Interlagos paddock. However, Mercedes have insisted all along that they are keen to retain his services despite bringing former McLaren technical director Paddy Lowe with the aim of him eventually taking Brawn's role as team boss.
