Mercedes to confirm Brawn departure
Ross Brawn is to leave Mercedes at the end of the year, the German company will announce on Thursday. The 59-year-old team principal is standing down following changes to the management structure at Mercedes F1. Executive directors Paddy Lowe and Toto Wolff take over the team, whose drivers are Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. Mercedes had asked Brawn to stay on but he made it clear last month that he would only do so if he remained in sole charge of the team. That level of authority was no longer available as a result of Mercedes' views about how the F1 team should be run. Who is Ross Brawn?
