Perez: It's looking promising

Sergio Perez has signalled his optimism he could stay on in F1 next season by telling Sky Sports F1: "Things are looking very promising".The Mexican learnt earlier this month that, just one year after joining the team in a blaze of promise and potential, McLaren were dispensing with his services for 2014 in favour of Kevin Magnussen. The former Sauber driver responded in the best possible manner at last week's United States by out-qualifying current team-mate Jenson Button - who is being retained by McLaren alongside Magnussen - before claiming his third points-scoring result in four races.
