Red Bull set new pit stop record

Red Bull Racing set a new record for the fastest ever F1 pit stop last weekend during the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. According to the team's data, Mark Webber’s car was stationary for just 1.923 seconds during his pit stop on lap 28. Webber eventually finished third overall, 8.3 seconds behind team-mate and race winner, Sebastian Vettel. “Setting a potential new pitstop record on Mark’s stop has topped off a fantastic weekend for the whole team,” said team principal, Christian Horner. The previous pit stop record was 2.05 seconds, also held by Red Bull, and set earlier this year in Malaysia.
