Varied track conditions 'quite remarkable' – Pirelli
Pirelli's motorsport director Paul Hembery says the variation in temperature over the United States Grand Prix weekend was 'quite remarkable,' causing different track conditions in each session.
Due to the unusual circumstances, tyre wear and degradation rates were relatively unknown heading into the 56-lap race. The majority of the field completed a one-stop strategy but some had to divert to a two-stopper late in the race.
