Vettel makes it eight in a row in Austin

Associated Press Enlarge Sebastian Vettel took his eighth consecutive victory in comfortable style at the United States Grand Prix. Having defended well from pole position, Vettel was never realistically threatened and eventually won by X seconds. It wasn't quite the dominant performance of Abu Dhabi or Singapore, however, as Romain Grosjean jumped to second at the start of the race and then closed on Vettel towards the end of each stint. Mark Webber came home third after having to recover a place from Lewis Hamilton early on, but he was unable to find a way past Grosjean despite numerous attempts at backing off and then attacking the Lotus.
