Alonso reveals he suffered numbness and headaches after Abu Dhabi impact 17 November, 2013 Fernando Alonso's manager Tweeted this photo which Ferrari frowned upon Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has revealed he lost feeling in the left side of his body and suffered severe headaches in the wake of the recent Abu Dhabi Grand Prix impact.
The Spaniard's participation in this weekend's United States Grand Prix was in doubt, after he hurt his back in a violent ride over the kerbs in a duel with Jean-Eric Vergne.
But Alonso released more details of the effects in Austin, revealing that his symptoms were even worse than was previously thought.
