Vettel supreme in USA qualifying

Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel took pole position today in qualifying for the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas, his final lap effort just enough to knock team-mate, Mark Webber down to second.Vettel, who had been quickest in final practice this morning, was eighth in Q1 and quickest in Q2. However, initially he trailed Webber in Q3 and was 0.152 seconds slower after the first runs. Webber then posted a 1m 36.441s effort on his second go and Vettel was again behind in the first two sectors, until he pulled it back in the final part of the lap, finishing 0.103 seconds up, on a 1m 36.338s lap.“It was a tricky session today,” said Vettel. “The wind picked up...
