Marussia plagued with issues during practice at Austin
Marussia endured a frustrating two practice sessions ahead of the United States Grand Prix, with several issues plaguing their preparations for the penultimate race weekend of the season. During the morning session reserve driver Rodolfo Gonzalez suffered an engine issue, whereas in the afternoon Max Chilton was struck with a brake disc failure.
After a foggy start to proceedings around Austin’s Circuit of the Americas, Jules Bianchi was forced to cede his driving duties to reserve driver Rodolfo Gonzalez. The Venezuelan driver eventually made his eighth practice appearance of the season once the fog finally cleared, and joined team-mate Max Chilton in beginning the team’s preparations...
