Successful back surgery for Raikkonen

Lotus have confirmed that their driver Kimi Raikkonen underwent his planned back surgery on Thursday at The University Hospital of Strasbourg in France. According to the doctor in charge, Professor Afshin Gangi, the operation was a complete success.Raikkonen, who moves to Ferrari for next season, elected to miss the final two rounds of 2013 to undergo the surgery in order to solve a recurrent back problem.
