Kovalainen gets the nod at Lotus for Austin and Interlagos
The wait is finally over, as one Finn leaves and another one arrives at Lotus GP for this weekend's United States Grand Prix, as according to AUTOSPORT, Heikki Kovalainen is set to don black and gold for the last two races of the season for his former employers as Kimi Raikkonen's replacement.
It will be the first time that Kovalainen will have competed in a race weekend since 2012 for Caterham, as both parties, which had the friction of the Team Lotus dispute a couple of seasons ago, are on the verge of agreeing an amicable deal to allow the Finnish driver, who has also raced at McLaren in his career, to get back into the thick of the action.
