Sergio Perez confirms McLaren exit

Sergio Perez confirmed that he won’t be racing with McLaren in the 2014 season, ending his association with the British team after just a solitary season. The Mexican driver issued a statement late on Wednesday ahead of the United States Grand Prix thanking McLaren for the opportunity to race with them this year. “I do not regret even a bit having joined them,” he said. “I have always given the best of me for the team and still despite this I could not achieve what I aimed for in this historic team.” Perez has had a disappointing campaign in 2013, far from what he displayed with Sauber in the preceding season, when he grabbed three podiums for the Swiss...
