Alonso to race through the pain
Fernando Alonso says he will race through the pain barrier this weekend in order to compete in the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas.The Spaniard was forced to undergo medical checks on his back following a heavy landing in Abu Dhabi after he ran across a kerb avoiding the Toro Rosso of Jean-Eric Vergne following his final stop.Although given the all-clear, Alonso has continued to suffer discomfort in the time since the Yas Marina race but insisted it wouldn't prevent him from giving his all when he hits the track in Austin."Packing the bag for Austin, with some pain, but eager and confident to help the team,” he wrote on Twitter. “I will try to give 100 per...
