Pirelli expecting two-stop United States Grand Prix

Pirelli expect this weekend's United States Grand Prix to be a two-stop race. F1′s sole tyre supplier will bring the hard and medium compounds to the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Despite nominating the same tyre compounds that were brought to last year's race – which was a one-stop race – the softer compounds used this year could see a two-stopper, although motorsport director Paul Hembery admits that it depends on the rate of track evolution. 'The hard and medium tyres are the best choice for the United States Grand Prix, because it’s a circuit that places several high-energy demands on the tyres, so you need the most durable compounds in the range,' he...
