Kvyat qualifies for Superlicence

Daniil Kvyat's Formula One debut is on track after the 19-year-old Russian secured his Superlicense last Friday. Kvyat, who has signed for Toro Rosso for next season, is scheduled to climb behind the wheel in Friday's first practice for the US GP. However, in order to do that, the 2013 GP3 Champion first had to gain his Superlicense. According to Toro Rosso, Kvyat was in action last Friday in a two-year-old STR6 at the Misano circuit as part of a filming day. "He racked up 102 laps, equivalent to around 402 kilometres and thus qualified for the necessary paperwork required by the FIA for him to compete in Formula 1," said the team.
