F1 2013 – Raikkonen to miss final 2 races

Kimi Raikkonen will miss the final 2 races of the F1 2013 season to undergo back surgery. This means Raikkonen has now ended his race career with Lotus F1, with his final race being at the last grand prix in Abu Dhabi.Despite rumours of a rift and Raikkonen being paid incredibly late, the official line is there is no dispute within the team and the surgery is necessary after Raikkonen triggered an old back injury at the Singapore grand prix this season.A press release from the Lotus F1 team reads “Lotus F1 Team can confirm that Kimi Räikkönen will miss the final two races of the 2013 Formula 1 season to undergo, and recover from, back surgery.The team will make an announcement about the...
