Raikkonen to skip final two races for back surgery
Kimi Raikkonen will miss the final two races of the Formula 1 2013 season in the USA and Brazil after deciding to undergo back surgery next week.
The Finn was almost forced to pull out of the Singapore Grand Prix due to severe pain in his back. The back injury dates back to a crash during testing in 2001, his rookie season in F1, for Sauber.
Raikkonen was involved in a pay dispute with his current Lotus team in Abu Dhabi last weekend and only turned up to the race weekend due to an 'understanding' being made. However, it looked as though the situation had been resolved and the 34-year-old would complete the season with the Enstone based outfit.
