Alonso given all clear after 28G impact

Fernando Alonso has been given the all clear by doctors after he suffered a massive impact during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Spaniard was taken to hospital after the race for precautionary checks after his car recorded a vertical impact of 28G when he left the track and hit a bump during his duel with Jean-Eric Vergne. A sensor in the car, designed to alert medical staff to any heavy impacts which could possibly cause injury to the driver, was triggered by the off-track excursion. Speaking after, Alonso revealed that he was in some pain, but nothing too serious. "I still have all my teeth after the bump!" he said. "My back is in a little pain because it was a big hit....
