Alonso to have more medical checks

Nov.4, 2013 (F1plus/GMM).- Fernando Alonso on Monday admitted he is still in pain after a violent impact during the Abu Dhabi grand prix. The Spaniard crashed over the kerbs with such force in his duel with Toro Rosso's Jean-Eric Vergne that it triggered the alarm signalling a mandatory medical check. The photos depicted the Spaniard underneath a space blanket and wearing a neck brace, reportedly as the result of injuries sustained when he crashed over the kerbs to avoid Jean-Eric Vergne's Toro Rosso on Sunday.
