2014 tyres on Friday in Brazil

All Formula 1 teams will get their first chances to try out Pirelli's prototype 2014-spec tyres in Friday practice at the season-ending Brazilian GP later this month.In a move which mirrors the one the Italian supplier made at Interlagos last year with rubber for this season, they will bring "a couple of sets" of the provisional compounds for drivers to get a feel of in practice ahead of the introduction of the final tyres from pre-season. Pirelli's Paul Hembery had warned in India that the firm wouldn't be able to produce satisfactory 2014 rubber for the new generation of cars without more testing time before the official start of testing in Jerez in last January.
