Brawn to exit at end of season

Ross Brawn is expected to sever his ties with the Mercedes F1 team at the end of the current season, several months later than originally expected.The Briton, whose eponymous team morphed into the Brackley-based works outfit following a buy-in inspired by Jenson Button's 2009 world championship campaign, had been thought likely to leave as soon as Paddy Lowe joined from McLaren, but a change of heart by Mercedes allowed for a 'soft transition' and gave Brawn the opportunity to discuss future roles within the organisation.Even as recently as last weekend's Indian Grand Prix, the former Benetton and Ferrari head man was insisting that talks were continuing, but the BBC now believes that...
