Alonso says split strategies provides best Ferrari hope

Scuderia Ferrari Fernando Alonso says splitting strategies is Ferrari's best hope of achieving a strong result in the Indian Grand Prix. Ferrari, like Red Bull, opted to split Alonso and Felipe Massa, with the Spaniard qualifying on prime tyres and Massa setting his best time on the options. Alonso will start from eighth place, three spots behind his team-mate. 'Before qualifying we looked at what might be the best strategy and it was very difficult to choose between two possibilities of equal worth,' said Alonso.
