Vettel gets his third-straight pole in India

Sebastian Vettel banked in a scorching lap early in the final leg of qualifying to claim pole position for the Indian Grand Prix on Saturday and his first step towards clinching his fourth successive world title. It was third straight pole at the Buddh International Circuit, a venue where the German has dominated in its previous two editions of the race, in which he has led every lap of the two races. Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg was seven-tenths off in second ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton and Mark Webber.
