Grosjean optimistic after opening day
Romain Grosjean was in a positive frame of mind after the first day of practice for the Indian Grand Prix, with the Lotus driver emerging as Red Bull's leading challenger. The Frenchman, who has claimed podiums at the past two races, wound up third on the timesheets and, despite an overall deficit of 0.498 seconds, is hopeful of making enough progress overnight to take the fight to Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. "That was a good start to the weekend," Grosjean told reporters on Friday afternoon. "The car feels good and we made progress through the day to make it better.
