Toro Rosso names Kvyat, Vergne as 2014 drivers
Toro Rosso announced its driver line-up for the 2014 season late on Monday by naming Russian teenager Daniil Kvyat alongside Jean-Eric Vergne. Kvyat, who will turn 20 in April next year, replaces Daniel Ricciardo as the Australian will fill in for compatriot Mark Webber – to retire from Formula 1 at the end of the year - at Red Bull in 2014. Currently racing in the GP3 series, where he stands a chance to clinch the title, as a member of the Red Bull junior driver programme, Kvyat could become the second Russian on the grid next year should Sauber confirm 18-year-old Sergey Sirotkin in its line-up.
